Dr. Joseph A. DeFeo
Chairman and Executive Adviser
Dr. Joseph A. DeFeo, Chairman and Executive Adviser of Juran, is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on transformational change and breakthrough quality management. For 28 years, Dr. DeFeo has worked as a trusted adviser helping business leaders increase sales, reduce costs and improve its customer experience through the deployment of performance excellence programs. These include Business Process Quality Management, Lean, Six Sigma, Strategy Deployment and Change Management. His recent publication, Juran’s Quality Essentials for Leaders, provides a concise message delivered for leaders to teach them how to embrace quality, not fight it, to be a globally competitive enterprise. Dr. DeFeo has co-authored three other popular texts. DeFeo’s belief that a relentless customer focus and integrity drives business results was recently noted by Steve Denning of Forbes.com. A frequent motivational guest speaker at international conferences, Dr. DeFeo has presented in over 30 countries.

Joseph M. DeFeo
Chief Operating Officer
Joseph M. DeFeo has served as Chief Operating Officer of Juran since June 2016. Joe has also served on Juran’s Board of Directors since 2013. In his role, Joe is continuing to re-define the consulting business model and spreading Dr. Juran’s core teachings and founding principles. Joe started as a consultant for Juran in 2010 assessing performance excellence within organizations around the world. Joe assessed over 40 different organizations in 25 countries and through his work redefined Juran’s assessment methodology. Prior to Juran, Joe received a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from Providence College and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Fairfield University. Joe also worked at Deloitte as a financial auditor and senior consultant to Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.

Michael Stamp
Vice President
Michael Stamp serves as Vice President at Juran. In this capacity, he specializes in Continuous Process Improvement, Lean Management and delivering a variety of quality programs to corporate clients. Mr. Stamp has over 25 years of experience and is an outstanding change agent who can identify opportunities, develop focus and provide strategic and tactical business solutions. Mr. Stamp’s core competencies include Process Improvement, Operational Streamlining, Data Science, Special Project Management, Training & Coaching, Cost Reduction, Multi-Site Operations, Quality Control/Assurance, Policy & Procedure Development, Leadership Development & Culture Transformation and Statistics.

Peter J. Robustelli
Executive Vice President
Peter J. Robustelli is Executive Vice President, Client Experience of Juran. Mr. Robustelli possesses over 25 years of diverse experience as a Key Executive in Process and Business Improvement, Consulting, Project Management, Client Management and Business Development. He is an effective, seasoned, hands-on executive who solves business problems and improves operating performance and profitability by integrating organizations, driving process improvement through statistical variation control, and restructuring organizations. Mr. Robustelli’s primary areas of experience are Executive Leadership, Engagement Management, Change Management, Six Sigma, Lean, Business Process Management, Business Development, Evaluation and Assessment and Service Operations Management. His expertise crosses various industries, including, manufacturing, utilities, government services and transactional settings.

Matthew Muller
Director of Strategy & Business Development
Matthew Muller has served as Director of Strategy & Business Development since July of 2016. Matthew focuses on the unique needs of enterprise organizations and healthcare systems, particularly on those that are looking for help on institutionalizing improvements. He is committed to listening to senior leaders’ challenges and prescribing them with the correct product, service, or experience to helping them achieve their goals. Matthew is also responsible for developing and setting Juran’s marketing and business development strategies, as well as overseeing the execution of the sales process. Prior to Juran, Matthew came from a technology startup background where he was responsible for net new business generation from Fortune 2000 accounts at both Yottaa and VMTurbo. With each company, Matthew took innovative products that customers were not familiar with and self-sourced significant expansion of the sales pipeline and customer base through effectively articulating the value of his offering. Matthew received a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Jeremy Hopfer
Director of Operations
Jeremy Hopfer serves as director of operations at Juran. He focuses on IMPRO system administration, IT infrastructure, and new product design and development. Jeremy is committed to ensuring that Juran’s clients have a positive experience when partaking in our courses. He has more than 14 years' experience as a developer with Juran and has previously held the positions of production director, production associate, and client relationship associate. Prior to working at Juran, Jeremy attended the University of Connecticut where he attained degrees in English Literature and Journalism.

Tamara Gardner
Tamara Gardner is a problem-solving specialist, performance coach, and business strategist who focuses on aligning people, processes, and technology with individual or organizational goals. She has been working with the team at Juran since early 2017. Prior to Juran, Tamara held corporate leadership positions in HR, leadership development, management consulting, change management, internal communications, and learning & development. Most recently, Tamara led an executive leadership development program focused on developing management skills in a lean environment. She is also a published author on a multitude of topics relevant to innovative problem-solving, elevating performance, and navigating change. Tamara is designated as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (S.P.H.R.) and holds a B.S. in Psychology from Green Mountain College.
