A core competency is something that an organization can do well and that meets the following three conditions: it provides customer benefits, it is hard for competitors to imitate, and it can be leveraged widely to many products and markets. A business process is a collection of interrelated tasks that solve a particular issue. Key Business Processes are those management and operational processes that can cripple the organization if the processes don’t function well. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are financial and non-financial metrics used to quantify objectives to reflect strategic performance of an organization. KPIs are used in business intelligence to assess the present state of the business and to prescribe a course of action.
