Operator Errors

Dr. Juran states that there are good grounds for asserting that our managerial convictions about “operator error” are derived mainly from unsupported beliefs which, over the years, have acquired an aura of mystery, superstition and dogma.

He asserts that it further appears that these beliefs have become deeply rooted in the managerial culture to a point that they are stubbornly resistant to challenge, whether by competitive theory or by contradictory facts.
