On Thursday, March 21 Juran’s Chairman and CEO, Joseph A. De Feo, will be speaking at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City. Mr. De Feo’s topic is Quality – the Transformative Essential to National Progress.
At Juran Institute, we believe that quality (quality of all businesses, for profit, not-for profit and government agencies), is the key success factor in enabling a country wide progress and an improved society. We have seen many organizations transform themselves into world-class enterprises using quality management methods.
From goods producers, service providers, hospitals and federal and state government agencies, many of these transformations began to improve the US competitiveness as a result of a national crisis with poor quality in the late 1970’s. Our country’s ability to compete globally dramatically improved as a result of our national program to improve performance. The creation and implementation of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, as well as a quality management system, improve the quality of products and of society in the next 10 years.
Federal governments and for profit enterprises are not excluded from improving their performance to meet their customer and societal needs. In this presentation, Joe will speak on how your country can use quality to transform itself and energize its people, employees and agencies to work toward best in the world quality performers. The result of this will be improved quality of life and a great national presence in the global community.
